Six-time Canadian men’s curling champion Randy Ferbey and his longtime third David Nedohin, 2012 Canadian women’s champ Heather Nedohin, 2012 Canadian senior women’s curling champion Cathy King and Kaitlyn Lawes, the talented young third on Jennifer Jones’ Manitoba rink, will be pouring Tim Hortons coffee from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday on the main floor at Rexall Place.
Tim Hortons will donate the proceeds from all coffee sales on Saturday at Rexall Place to the Hec Gervais Academic & Curling Scholarship Foundation, which was established in 1999 to assist youth pursuing an education and a curling dream while also helping out in the community.
Past recepients of the Hec Gervais scholarship include Alberta second Marc Kennedy and Saskatchewan skip Brock Virtue.
This year’s three recepients will be announced at Kevin Martin’s Junior Bonspiel, which runs April 26-28 at the Saville Sports Centre.
